Rothleubber wins Longview City Golf title
LONGVIEW – LeTourneau University’s Spencer Rothluebber captured the 12
th annual AEP/Swepco Longview City Golf Championship at Pinecrest Country Club on
Sunday.
Rothluebber, a senior captain for the YellowJackets, followed his opening-round 72 on Saturday
with a 1-over-par 71 to win the championship. His two-day total of 143 was three shots better than
Mike Tate, who had back-to-back rounds of 73s for 146. Ryan Hill, an eight-time champion of the
tournament, was joined at 147 by Nathan Weant.
The championship field consisted of amateurs who love or work in Gregg County. Proceeds from
the tournament went to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Gregg County.
