SCHEDULE:
Drivers will work as needed on weekdays and weekends. This will occasionally include overnight trips.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Assignments are coordinated primarily by the Facilities Services Secretary. Drivers will be responsible for transporting students, faculty or other groups on trips of various distances and times.
Drivers must drive safely, following traffic regulations at all times. Their concern must be demonstrated for the safety of their passengers as well as other motorists. As representatives of the University, their conduct and driving must demonstrate Christian care and principles at all times.
Drivers are responsible for reporting any mechanical symptoms or problems of the vehicles within their charge.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent knowledge.
No traffic violations within a three-year period.
Three years of driving experience preferred.
The driver will be required to :
Maintain a current Texas CDL with passenger endorsement and air brake endorsement.
Submit to a drug test and will be in a pool for random substance abuse testing.
Stay current on physical examination.
